Registration for FMGE Exam

FMGE exam is conducted at around 16 different test centers across the country in all the major cities such as Kolkata, Greater Noida, Gurgaon, New Delhi, Noida, Chandigarh, Bangalore, Chennai, Cochin, Hyderabad, Trivandrum, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Nagpur and Pune.

You will be able to select your preferred location for the MCI Screening Test during the online registration and scheduling process. Availability will be based on a first come, first served basis, and only available options will be shown at the time of scheduling. Please note that no reschedule or cancellation will be allowed once your registration/scheduling is completed.

You can register it on NBE website with a registration fees for FMGE Exam as Rs. 5,500 (Non-refundable) paid on-line via credit card or debit card. Use your own E-Mail ID to register for the same! Do not use your friends mail ID!

On completion of the Registration for FMGE exam, you will get a computer generated acknowledgement at your registered email id. Admit card will be issued to candidate once the registration and scheduling has been successfully completed.  The Admit Card will specify the Application Number / Testing ID of the Candidate. You can also edit the profile if you have made any typographical error in filling up the application form for FMGE exam or MCI Screening Test.

However, you may note that the test center for FMGE exam can not be changed once it has been allocated through your on-line process.

Passing FMGE Exam

It is definitely not an easy task to pass FMGE Exam or MCI Screening Test. However, if you folllow a clear and systematic method based on our years of experience, we can definitely take you there. Result (Pass/Fail) for eligible candidates is displayed at NBE website and officer of NBE notice board. An applicant shall be declared as having passed only if he/she obtain a minimum of 150 marks out of 300 in the FMGE Exam.

Getting Admit Card for FMGE Exam

You need to log in to the FMGE website using your username & password and select Download Admit Card once the seat allotment has been done. Please refer to the above website for notifications.

FMGE Exam Pattern & Duration

durationFMGE Exam or MCI Screening is totally for 300 Marks. It is divided into 2 parts, each of 150 marks. The students are given 150 minutes for each section. There is a scheduled break between the 2 parts of MCI Screening Test. All the candidates appearing for FMGE exam need to sign a NDA (Non-disclosure agreement) before starting the exam.

The two parts are taken up at the following time period generally:

Part 1 : Conducted between 10.00 AM to 12.45 PM (Including 15 minutes of tutorials)

Part 2 : Conducted between 03.15 PM to 05.45 PM

You are allowed to move back and forth on the questions on the computer screen by using the review screen. However, you can not go to different sections of the FMGE exam. The exam will be MCQ based (Multiple Choice Question) – objective paper with 4 options out of which only 1 would be a correct answer. The FMGE exam conducted by NBE is based on Pre-Clinical, Para Clinical and Clinical part of MBBS in India and totally 19 subjects taught as per the course designed by Medical Council of India.

The 15 Minutes tutorial given on the computer screen at the start of FMGE exam gives you an opportunity to understand all the features available for you to practice. Format of FMGE Exam / MCI Screening Test

FMGE exam or MCI Screening Test FormatStarting from the June 2014, the FMGE exam or MCI Screening Test  has changed from a paper and pencil test to a computer-based test (CBT). FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination)  is still not an Internet-based test. Instead of reading the questions from a MCI Screening Test paper booklet and giving answer in the sheet, you would read the questions on a computer screen. Further you can choose an answer by by clicking on the appropriate option there. The FMGE exam or MCI Screening Test  is completed in 1 day itself! Before the exam, the students can get the look and feel of this new pattern from the website of National Board of Examinations popularly called as NBE.

FMGE Exam or MCI Screening Test

The students register for FMGE exam or MCI Screening Test  and choose the centre in India as per their convenience. A computer is allocated to the student at the test centre at the time of registration. The student must take the FMGE exam  from the allocated work station only.

When is FMGE Exam taken?

The FMGE exam is taken twice every year in the month of June and December. The dates are always published in our announcement section as soon as it is published by NBE on their website.

Attempts allowed for FMGE Exam

The students can give unlimited attempts in case they fail to pass FMGE exam. There is no restriction on number of attempts for the Indian students to appear for the MCI screening test.
